One of the first things an entrepreneur does is choose a name.
ACME is defined as the best or most perfect thing that can exist or be achieved. That’s a good description of what I try to achieve with the content I create for my customers.
It’s also, famously, the name of Wile E Coyote’s supplier of rockets, anvils and other roadrunner traps. Wile E is persistent, creative and doesn’t give up even though most of his attempts end in failure.
And, the imagery makes me smile. Could there be a better name for my company?
Behind the Brand – Jennifer Lavoie
After graduating from Concordia University with a degree in Journalism, I worked for Thomson Newspapers as a reporter and editor for community daily and weekly newspapers across Ontario (and winning a few awards of excellence along the way).
I made the leap to public relations and corporate communications with a move to Toronto where I worked for small boutique agencies and large corporate firms. I am proud of the programs I developed during this time, which won industry awards for media relations, crisis management and change communications.
Deciding to go out on my own was a big decision but 15 years later, I’m glad I did. I get to work with a wide range of companies, both large and small, create meaningful content that delivers on their business values and priorities.
